In the pre-Islamic era, some poets used narrative techniques in their poems, including the poet Saluk, nicknamed Ta'abbaṭa Sharrā, who composed a poem on the "rhyme-letter"of Noon entitled "The Struggle with the Ghoul" in which he embodied his experience in a fictional and legendary story. The characteristic of this poem is its narrative style, which is based on dialogue and characterization. Therefore, the present study, relying on a descriptive-analytical method, has examined the elements of narrative structure in this poem. The results of the article indicate that the poet, as the main character (hero), fights against the character of the Ghoul (anti-hero) The vocabulary of this poem also differs according to the two characters, the hero and the anti-hero: smooth and fluent words that describe the poet himself, and strange and far-fetched words that are appropriate for the character of the Ghoul. The point of view used to narrate the stories is the first person and the plot of the stories often has a simple and elementary plot. In describing the place, “Raha Betan” also uses the adjective "sahsahan" to try to show the audience its dangers and endless expanse.
