The stylistic approach is one of the critical methodologies concerned with studying literary texts through their various semantic levels and analyzing their stylistic features in order to uncover their hidden dimensions. This study examines the characteristics of poetic style in the poem “Remember, When Truth and Falsehood Are Mentioned” by the contemporary Palestinian poet Tamim Al-Barghouti, seeking to reveal the linguistic and artistic mechanisms that contribute to the construction of the poem’s discourse. Adopting a descriptive-analytical method by analyzing the phonetic, syntactic, and semantic levels of the text, the study demonstrates that the poet constructs his poem through an intense engagement with Qur’anic and Prophetic references, as well as Islamic heritage—particularly through the invocation of such concepts as the ayah (sign/verse), martyrdom, and the Ahl al-Bayt—which lends the poem symbolic and spiritual dimensions. The analysis also reveals the effectiveness of repetition—especially the repeated phrase, “And to God belong signs”—in affirming the sanctity of martyrs, while rhetorical devices such as interrogation and imperative contribute to giving the discourse a dialogic character and activating the recipient’s religious memory. Likewise, the poetic imagery, grounded in symbolism and simile, plays a prominent role in embodying abstract meanings and moving them from abstraction into sensory perception and dramatic movement.
