This study examines the literary and rhetorical analysis of the wording of the Purification Verse, which has occupied a significant place in exegetical, theological, and literary studies, with its vocabulary serving as a focal point of debate and divergent opinions. Hence, precise analysis of the wording of this verse plays a pivotal role in its correct understanding and accurate interpretation. This research aims to analyze the key terms of the verse from a literary-rhetorical perspective, in order to provide a suitable groundwork for a nuanced understanding of the verse's meaning and for its exegetical, theological, and literary approaches. The study adopts a library-based method with an analytical-critical approach. It begins with a meticulous literary-rhetorical analysis of the restrictive particle innama, and through a critique of opposing views, it becomes clear that the subject of the particle is indeed restriction. The study then addresses the volitional verb yurid, explaining its usages and the distinctions between it and similar terms. Subsequently, through an in-depth examination of the terms yudhhib, al-rijs, tathir, and the constructions yuridu llah and ahl al-bayt from a literary-rhetorical standpoint, the study concludes that the Purification Verse expresses God's creational and decisive will concerning a group of people who are the household of prophecy and messengership, not merely those of dwelling or family lineage.
