Resistance literature is considered an authentic reflection of the conscience of peoples who have opposed colonialism and tyranny. Jabal Amel represents a distinctive model of this experience, as it has continuously witnessed struggles against occupation and oppression, not only through arms but also through writing and intellectual engagement. This study aims to identify the levels of struggle in Jabal Amel resistance literature by analyzing the human dimension in the works of local writers and poets who expressed their people’s suffering and their longing for freedom and dignity. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, based on the analysis of literary texts and historical evidence that reflect the trajectory of intellectual awakening in Jabal Amel from the Ottoman period to the stage of liberation in Lebanon. The findings indicate that the human dimension constitutes the central axis of resistance literature in the Jabal Amel region, as literary texts reflect the suffering of the Arab human being in confronting oppression and occupation, and express the values of freedom and dignity through an authentic artistic spirit. The study also highlights the literary and artistic characteristics of this literature through the use of poetic imagery and expressive language in conveying the human experience of resistance.
