This study sheds light on the most important social issues raised about women in the Iraqi novel “alkafra” by Ali Badr, and the British novel “The Golden Notebook” by Doris Lessing, which constituted a social, cultural, and linguistic diversity according to rhetorical analyses subject to the theory of structuralism formation of Goldman by Lucien Goldman, which stipulates linking literary productions to the social impact and its variables through its basic foundations. Then, the two novels were compared in a literary manner to identify the similarities and differences between them. The similarities emphasize that the basic problems of society are the same in both societies, especially women’s problems. The differences highlight the intellectual and philosophical diversity that each novelist from each of the two different societies presents in a manner that suits his mental convictions and the cognitive image of his society. This study confirmed that the differences are more than the similarities between the two novels. This is due to the environmental difference between the two societies resulting from their circumstances, which in turn led to a difference in the method of presentation in terms of style, embodying the event and its images in a way that is consistent with the facts of the society of both novels. The novel “alkafra” was distinguished by the diversity of knowledge that carries creative realistic visions that were translated into their environmental impact on the novelist Ali Badr; the novel with its diverse identity stems from a society that experienced diversity with the fluctuations of its circumstances, in contrast to the idea devoid of the event, which is permeated by the idea of dialogue that was imitated by the pen of the British novelist Lessing, who reflects her society.
